About Us
LUST are a swimming team who caters for both competitive and non-competitive swimmers. The main training happens on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7-8pm) and additional sessions happen on Wednesday (2.30pm) and Saturday (4-5pm) for competitive swimmers. See training page for more information.
There are many chances to compete against other swimming clubs for all members. The national BUSA short course and long course championships take place in November and February (respectively) and there is also a ‘team’ league, which culminates in a team competition as part of the British Student Games in March.
But if your not really up for the big stage of the nationals we also take part in many friendly galas throughout the year both within and outside London (eq Oxford), which are very relaxed but still has plenty of friendly competition!
However, we’re definitely not just all work and no play……
LUST is a very social swimming team. From team socials going on each semester, to drinks in the bar after training, you will definitely not feel like your missing out on a good social scene.
